동시에 추적할 수 있는 replication origin의 개수를 정하며, 사실상 그 서버에 만들 수 있는 logical replication subscription 수를 제한한다. 기본값은 10이고 서버를 시작할 때만 설정할 수 있다. subscription을 받는 subscriber 쪽에 적용되는 파라미터다.
현재 추적 중인 replication origin 수(pg_replication_origin_status에서 확인)보다 낮은 값으로 줄이면 서버가 시작되지 않는다. subscriber에 추가할 subscription 수에 table synchronization용 여유분을 더한 값 이상으로 설정해야 한다.
PostgreSQL 18에서 추가된 파라미터로, 이전 버전에서는 subscriber 쪽 max_replication_slots가 이 역할을 겸했다.
